Yes yes yes... think I'm only on for an hour but what an honour!

This is the guy who has seen it all - house music is named after 'the music Frankie play[ed] at the Warehouse' and who has recently been honoured by having a street in Chicago named after him.

Sorry to jump the gun with the 2nd on the horizon, but any househead in Liverpool who isn't here for four hours of Frankie should question whether thay are REALLY house or not.

There's actually a day named after him in Chicago. Frankie Knuckles Day.

I'll find out the date.

Ive seen a poster advertising for frankie knuckles the night after chibuku have booked him...playing at The Syndicate in Blackpool!!!!! :o How pissed off is he gonna be when he turns up and a loads of chavs are bouncing around in trackies wanting scouse house! I think thats terrible that he's been booked to play somewhere like that where he obviously aint gonna be appreciated. I mean, fair play to The syndicate for trying to get with it, but lets face it,they're flogging a dead horse in blackpool (or is that donkey?)

No its Frankie Knuckes NIGHT in Liverpool on the 8th - unless there is something going on in the day i don't know about?

Maybe we could have a Leo Belchetz day!

Or maybe not as Frankie may think we are taking the piss.

God some DJ's get away with having the WORST names.

No I'm just messing Polly!

I have petitioned Liverpool City Council about the possibility of having a Leo Belchetz day but they weren't having any of it. Obviously they don't recognise how much of a pioneer I am, nor did they notice the correlation between my presence in the city and Liverpool's subsequent regeneration and rising profile. Apparently the next person to have a day named after them is Councillor Mike Storey - I've stopped paying council tax in protest.

Oh and thanks for setting up Dom for the most obvious joke ever!

Will be good to catch up on Fri though mate!

derrick spelt like that is one of the best names a fat gay yank dj could have.

however, i prefer to think of it as the name of the drummer from jamiroquai, who i met once and found to be the smoothest mofo on the planet.

at stan collymore's birthday party dontchaknow.
