Jamie Odell aka Jimpster and Audiomontage has been producing, remixing and Djing for the last 15 years and co-running his Freerange Records label for the last 10 of those.
His musical upbringing and open minded attitude to all types of music have meant his productions have found fans across the globe in the electronica/downtempo as well as house music scenes.
Seminal Jimpster LP’s such as Messages From The Hub and Domestic Science really helped establish Jamie as an artist of some merit and he is now in regular demand as a remixer and co producer on a wide range of underground projects.
Recently described by Ben Watt as a ‘future soul kingpin and bittersweet house don’, Jamie is regularly djing both in the UK and abroad. With an emphasis on top quality house music, but never afraid to stray from the path, he retains a freestyle approach that has seen him booked for gigs as diverse as Fabric, Plastic People, The Naked Music Beach Party at the WMC, Buzzin’ Fly at Neighbourhood and LA’s Bossanova. Other recent gigs have included Vega in Copenhagen, Metro in Kyoto and Propaganda in Moscow where he has a bi-monthly residency.
Jamie is also a member of highly acclaimed live outfit The Bays, who’s recent performances on John Peel sessions have confirmed them as one of the most important live acts around today. Their spontaneous and totally improvised gigs have been building up a buzz with recent headlining gigs including many of the worlds best festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Womad, Lowlands and many others.

Neil Bainbridge Biog

At 22 Neil has been djing for 6 years. Starting at the age of 16 and getting a bug for dance music by listening to Danny Ramplings love groove dance party on Radio 1. Listening to and drawing influences from djs such as Derrick Carter, Dj Sneak, Daft Punk as well as the more soulful side of Jon Cutler, Miguel migs and masters at work.
Most of the first visits to shindig were spent either watching the dj all night or staring down from the balcony onto the setup to see what did what and checking out Scott and Scoobys warm-ups. After playing several of Newcastles bars, came an introduction to the promoters Scott, Scooby and rob through friend and then shindig promoter Jim Mawdsly, Neil set his sights to playing Newcastles most respected night. Like most breaks go Neil was asked to fill in on warm up duties upstairs in the loft and play stereo shindigs then warm up bar also in Newcastle.
After working at HMV, Neil opened Air Records, Newcastle s independent dance record shop. After 2 years in business, Neil and staff continue to serve the citys record buyers and a big list of visiting big name djs - keeping a close eye on the music scene on a daily basis and meeting lots of new people in the meantime. Playing a blend of US. house with a distinctive Chicago sound.
Neil has played with and warmed up for the likes of Danny Rampling, Tony Humphries, Justin Long, Fc Kahuna, Inland Knights, Phil Weeks, Chris Duckenfield , Ian Pooley , Hippe and Luke Solomon to name a few.
Summer 2006 saw Neil flying over to Chicago to guest alongside Justin Long and Natural Rhythm at his .dot bleep party at one of the citys best venues - smartbar.
A lot of current influences coming from djs such as Mark Farina, Dj Heather Phil weeks and Jake Childs - trying to create a mix perfect for the dance floor.
Having played at cities outside of Newcastle including Hull, and Lincoln alongside Mark Lowry, Neil is channeling his efforts into production.. After the debut ep on movim recordings under the alias Airgroove with mark, there are several other tracks and remixes underway as well as solo projects for Kolour Recordings, Baker Street and 3am Recordings.. With Support from likes of Miles Maeda, Chuck Daniels, Swag and Derrick Carter.
Wether warming up or playing full set alongside the other residents Neil blends his jackin techy side with a more soulful funky groove.
