Mickey Finn needs no introduction as a main player in DnB for, well, for ever since he was about before DnB was born!

I'm excited bout the Dope Ammo crew, reckon the Drunken Masters will tear the show up!

Here's the spiel:

Dope Ammos Biography

The Dope Ammo team consists of the following collective of DJ/Producers,The Drunken Masters, DJ Rhyme, Hypersonix Boylan.

When representing on the DJ circuit, it is the Drunken Masters who represent the DJ name Dope Ammo. The Drunken Masters are made of four members, who are Coco, Bally, Astra and Pornchai. However it is Bally and Coco who are the main faces behind the decks that put on a wicked back to back show and represent all over the UK + abroad. The Drunken Masters are by far the most central figures at Dope Ammo Records, they have been prolific in producing, pioneering and pushing Dope Ammos own new and highly original soundTogether, as a team Dope Ammo have already received tremendous acclaim for creating and producing their music. They have gained huge support and respect for their friendly, fresh and seriously funky approach to the whole drum n bass scene.

Early Dope Ammo achievements included their track Mastered Technique DA009 being played on BBC Radio 1 by DJ Steve Lamacq (who is now a huge D.A fan) and a live interview by old school dance legend Normski. More recently the crew have been featured as Dope Ammo Records in top U.K Drum n Bass Magazine Knowledge (Sept-02 Vol-2-Issue 33)

The Dope Ammo team produced most of the material for Dope Ammo the debut album Uprising which was a huge success. It featured guest artists the legendary old skool don - DJ Phantasys Hypnotised Rmx, and the now established DJ Hazards, Deep In the Underground Rmx, this track was licensed by DMC for a Micky Finn compilation THE TAKEOVER BID II, which is out now.Other classic Dope Ammo tracks featured on the Uprising album include Desire, Jazz Funk, Turn U Loose and Disco Biscuit, All of which received immense support from a number of A-list DJs including Peshay, Micky Finn and Nicky Blackmarket to name but a few. The Jazz Funk track was later remixed from the now well known producer Baron for Dope Ammo Records 11th ReleaseFollowing the huge success of the Uprising album Dope Ammo have been signed to Mickey Finn and Aphrodites Urban Agency and have gone from strength to strength, with bookings all over the UK, Europe and now the US.

Dope Ammo have always promoted their studio sounds to a wider audience via their DJ sets and radio shows. They have played at top London venues the infamous Bagleys warehouse, The Glasshouse, SE1 (The Arches) and have a forthcoming gig at The Mass, Brixton. As well as this they do regular spots on top Internet radio stations including Pyrotechnic the no 1 drum n bass internet station, and have more recently done a guest show for BBCs new digital radio station 1Xtra.

Blowin up the moment is a Dope Ammo track entitled Kill Bill Vol 1. This track looks set to take Dope Ammo to a whole new level. It has been smashing up dancefloors all over the world. Not only has it been regularly played out by the likes of a-list DJs, Aphrodite, Hype, Nicky Blackmarket, Micky Finn, Swane and Brockie, but it has also reached a number one position in the Drum And Bass Arena (www.breakbeat.co.uk (http://www.breakbeat.co.uk)) charts for most played singles. It looks like its going to be licensed for a big German compilation album by the Rawhill crew.Watch out for Kill Bill Vol 2 which is currently in the pipeline. The Dope Ammo team are also currently working on a huge and very ambitious remix project that will be released later this year on vinyl in 4 separate instalments. All Dope Ammo artists will be appearing on this project. Plus guest artists, Total Science, Future Bound, Rascal + Klone and Baron. A mix CD/DVD including music, and video footage of their time touring the UK, Europe and the US will be included as part of the fourth release.

As well as a busy DJ schedule and working on the remix project. Dope Ammo will also be working on various studio projects with the likes of DJ Swane and Earl Falconer (UB40 fame), Maximum Boost, remix work for the mighty Aphrodite and also working with top MCs Sugars, Fat Man D and Shortston on a few projects.

As for the future of Dope Ammo, wellthey will continue to play out at clubs and on radio stations all over the UK + abroad and despite this busy DJ schedule their main aim will be to continue to produce high quality cutting edge dance music that people can enjoy both at home and on the dancefloor.
