Just to let you know what the score is with Qbert....

Another promoter on the tour has fucked his work visa. He got sent back to San Fran the other day.. i jsut paid out of my own pocket to bring him back again and process an emergency work permit.. (over 2.5 thousand pounds) without any contribution from the rest of the tour...At the moment he is being held in Immigration in Heathrow by some rather indifferent immigration officers. He missed last night in Manchester, looks like he may miss Newcastle tonight, but if everything goes well today with Work Permits UK then we should be fine.

None the less I have already lined up a replacement in case they send him back (again) and bizarrely enough which is unlikely in this scenario the replacement ( if we decide to use them..) are better than the original act!!

I will keep you all updated. I have been working tirelessly on this for over 48 hrs with little sleep and at great personal cost so bear with us. We are doing everything possible...

Immigration are without doubt, tossers.

A friend of mine with a six-month visa and a work permit, was held at Liverpool for hours the other day, because THEY had originally stamped the work permit, not his passport.

His passport was confiscated and they've told us twice we could go & collect it, only to send us packing when we get there. Finally got it on a third trip and now they've said there's no problem at all.

Wankers.

ANYWAY... can't you just have the other act on as well? ;)

Respect.

Anyone ever hear the story of Ca$h Money back in the day, leathering a promoter who refused to pay up, getting chased by the bizzies and being found crouching in a bush! hahaha! Then good old Timmy (Westwood) having to go the copshop and bail him out.

I love that tale.

I'm amazed he's allowed in the country and yet Q is being scrutinised having been here a good few times with no problems.

Qbert has been sent back to San Fran for the second time this week by Immigration. After much expense and effort by us Immigration still didnt see fit to let him through. We have jsut confirmed c2c the 4 x world champions will be replacing him in the annexe. Which is as good a replacement as anyone can ask for given the last minute nature of the situation.

Sorry for the hassle but we have pulled out all the stops on this one.

Qbert refund policy...

We have just had a chat about this and have decided that reciepts and tickets stubs for tonight will also be valid for the resheduled Qbert show. Which means you get tonight and then the next Qbert show and whoever is on that bill as well for one price.

Given the huge extra cost we have incurred on trying to get him over, the cost of the replacement act and the unlikely situation that we are going to recieve any kind of refund ourselves we think this is a good compromise for all those who might be dissapointed...

So make sure you keep your stubs/reciepts...

This notice will be clearly posted before all cash desks and around the queuing areas..
