As warehouse fever grips northern England Chibuku steps up to the plate with the first major party of the new student term to show why Liverpool too has so much to answer for. Rolling into take control of Nation on October 14th we are ever proud to present a relentless array of talent ranging from the worlds best house and techno artistes to the best drum and bass and hip hop. Nation as a venue allows Chibuku to present truly untouchable lineups as well as deliver it all on what is still the only real sound system in Liverpool.

Q-bert, one third of the world championship winning scratch team The Invisbl Scratch Picklz (along side Mix Master Mike of Beastie Boys fame & Dstyles) will be making his Liverpool debut. Acclaimed as one of the true great turntablists ever along side the likes Jazzy Jeff, Tony Vegas, Mix Master Mike,….Qbert has pushed the technology he uses to take his science to the next level. His recent work with Vestax to produce the QFO deck has evolved into a tour just to show case the extreme possibilities of this new technology. This is a very rare chance to see this master in action and of course another Chibuku Liverpool debut.

Henrik Swartz is part of the Sonar Kollectiv which gave us Ame and Dixon. They have a distinct trademark quality to all their productions… Henriks set at Asylum in Leeds last year was one of the musical highlights of the Northern calendar. Expect serious hypnotic deep house grooves from a true master of deep.

Mr Scruff should need no introduction. The Mancunian pie and tea swiller extraordinare has taken the one man dj show to his own new level. His Chibuku shows are a thing of legend comprising deep jazzy house, funk driven electronica and rare 45s all mixed seamlessly.

We are excited to invite Pendulum back for the first time since it all kicked off for them with their string of drum and bass hits last year. Blazing a trial for young guns like TC and Subfocus to aspire, their production and djing has once again brought drum and bass worldwide to the the attention of the masses as their tracks are getting playlisted by everyone from Zane Lowe to Annie Mac to regular day time Radio one slots..

Headlining the event sees the last appearance for Radiosoulwax, the brainchild of the brothers Dewaele.. After the success of the Niteversions, an electronic take on their more indie based sound, Soulwax have been touring non-stop for 2 yrs…headling in every major festival across the planet but now its time for a rest… As usual they are joined by their favourite selection of whats hot and up and coming in their world… Previous shows they have showcased the likes of Whomadewho and Justice as well as a rare appearance from Trevor Jackson and Riton at our Birthday in March.. this time round see electronic rockers Goose and remixers du jour straight from Berlin Boys Noise aka Kid Alex.. We have been warned in particular to keep our eyes on Alex after he devastated various Sonar parties back in June. Expect the Courtyard to be on top form for this northern debut. Expect Carnage.

Fair enough. But hold on...

No mention of the Almighty?
Is that because the name speaks for itself as being the most important artist on the bill?

Whats the deal for Qbert?

With it being in the annexe, which has possibly the wosrt view of the decks from the dance floor ever, are you gonna be having a few cameras to show whats going on?

Nice one.

Drum'n'bass hurts my sensitive pensioner ears.

Lord knows what'd happen if Paul Outlar heard it. He'd probably shatter.
