Hi,

After a few frantic months of buying music, planning a mix then buying more music and planning a totally different mix. I finally put one together. I wanted to try and cover a few different styles I'm into but with just 70 odd minutes for CD size it's hard to cover all bases.

This one turned into mostly Deep House (think Dixon/Freerange/Jimpster style) with a couple diversions here and there. It's a lot more dance floor focused that I'd planned but I can now focus on the more unusual, disco, techno, soulful stuff I'm into.

I made a couple of mistakes but it's my first ever mix so you'll forgive me I'm sure

hehe. I bought a ton of stuff from Freerange recently which is why so much of it made it into the mix. I didn't realise there were so many until I wrote out the track/label listing :P

Yeah was same for me when I recorded my mix at Chibuku, undoubtedly strongest label this year, I will endeavour to come down Bill if I'm not playing eleswhere.

Glad you liked it. It was a nightmare to get a first mix out because it's so hard to present your music tastes in 16 tracks. I'll enjoy doing the next one though!

I'm really getting into Nick Chacona at the moment, as well as Brennan Green, Klas Lindblad (aka Sasse) and of course Henrik Schwarz, so that might be the style of the next mix (a kind of deep electronic disco.) It'll be something quite different, and hopefully I can get on to a more familiar New York/Chicago thing once I've got that out of my system

Cheers,

Paul

You've had a great 'education' in the clubs and it shows. A really good mix, bravo.
