SOULFOOD is a brand new night- Fridays at BUMPER, showcasing some of the city’s finest DJ talent and pushing organic and soulful flavours from across the musical spectrum. BUMPER welcomes you and your guests on Friday 18th August to celebrate the Official SOULFOOD Launch, and Official Afterparty for the Lake Of Stars Palmhouse Event. Enjoy a vast structure of music, with Live DJ Sets from SoulFood Resident DJ’s plus very special guests: Claire Jude- LIVE SAX and the BEATLIFE PERCUSSION ORCHESTRA.

Resident DJ PAUL McGUIRE is a key member of the Soulfelt Collective, and has enjoyed sets alongside Unabombers, & Jazzy Jeff at Liverpool’s biggest club night- Chibuku. JESS G manages to maintain her own Latin musical standards in opposition to the abundant atypical music, having supported amongst others, Fila Brazilia and Pascal Rioux.
Special Guest DJ’s- ALEX SWEENEY (Chibuku / Soulfelt) finds inspiration from original DJ’s such as Danny Krivit, Louie Vega and Francois K… A love for soul music helped him develop his own style, incorporating the soul edge.
CHRISTIAN McBRIDE (Fat City Records / 45 Kings) is best known for The Fat ‘n’ Funky Compilation series, now in its 3rd volume, he also commandeers The 45 Midgets whose 'The crunch' CD mix was also released by Fat City, with new releases coming soon on Scenario records.

Massive thank you to everyone who came along! Lekan and his crew loved it and the crowd in there were amazing - one of the best atmostpheres for a while. Helped raised a good wedge for the festival and for Malawi Health Care Support!
