Had an interesteing arguement with some friends last night that descended into hilarious farce, I wonder what your take on this.

We were talking about the current situation with terrorists and suicide bombers when I (in all honesty not trying to be that provocative) half jokingly said "I heard bodies deemed contaminated by pork products can't get into heaven. There's a simple solution to this: Why don't we wrap the bodies of terrorists and suicide bombers in bacon and leave them in the town square for all to see".

A bit harsh, on reflection I accept.

Apparantly now I am either racist, a hater of Islam or both. What say ye?

Well the first flaw is that conventionaly, bodies don't go to heaven. It's the soul or spirit of the person that goes to heaven.

So that kind of negates the rest of the 'argument'.

I also think you may have overlooked the problems that may be experienced in finding the bodies of suicide bombers in order carry out bacon dressing rituals... would be very messy I think

I remember there was a massive uproar a while ago because some muslim woman's bodie had been tainted by some sick neo-nazi bastards putting pork on her corpse and her family were saying that her soul wouldn't go to heaven or some shit because (very much like the ancient Egyptians) there is a strict proceedure in terms of what must and must not happen to the body after death.

My arguement was that this is the least someone who blows up men, women and children in the hope they'll go to heaven and score 70 odd virgins, deserves....and maybe it might put off the more religious fanatic terrorist. I wasn't trying to be a funny arse.

Apparantly that makes me against ALL muslims and also a racist, hence me posting on here to gauge opinion....really not trying to be a comedian here. My arguement was that those that commit such atrocities aren't muslim.

Maybe in reflection it was going a bit too far, but people aren't half sensitive these days.

Another thing about people being quite sensitive these days....

I used to work in Telewest with this guy who who's a muslim. Used to sit by him every day, a cracking lad he was but I had a weird episode with him when I found some stuff from the Koran on my desk, stuff about rules of how women should be treated.

I read this with great interest and then passed it to my mate.

He looked at me and goes "Why you giving me that?"

"Well it's your innit?" I asked

"Why would it be!?" he indignantly replied.

"Erm....you're muslim right?"

"yeah?"

"erm....no one else here is"
