Apparently they went back and did re-shoots just so Sam Jackson could get the line "WE'VE SNAKES ON THE MUTHA FUCKIN PLANE!" in.

Looking forward to this!
It's funny that this topic should come up as I was having a look at imdb last night looking at the new titles coming out next year. There are some true shockers! Some really wacky movies being made at the moment, I think 2007 is gonna be the year of the stoopid B-movie. I've selected a few for your perusal......
Young Hanibal: Behind the mask - Sounds like a VH1 special....sadly it's another shite prequel, this time without Anthony Hopkins.
Afro Samuari - Afro Samurai is the tale of a black samurai in a futuristic, yet feudal Japan who is on a mission to avenge the wrongful death of his father. Samuel L. Jackson stars as Afro, a warrior who travels a solitary path encountering a myriad of enemies, friends and challenges beyond imagination. I swear i'm not making this up!
The Marine - Action staring WWE "Superstar" John Cena (the one who raps) who returns from Iraq to find his girlfriend missing. No doubt kidknapped by "towelheads".
The Queen - In the wake of the death of the beloved Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minster Tony Blair clash over the public and private aspects of the tragedy, and its impact on both the monarchy and government.
Baz Luhrmann directs Alexander - Oliver Stone's effort was panned by the critics and was a complete flop....so they're doing it again, except directed by a propper gaylord. Expect a mince-fest.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Rather than do a new take on the turtles taking the opportunity to take them back to the look of the ultra cool Eastman & Laird comicbooks....lets do this one completely in CGI and have the storyline take off from after the second film....yeah, the one which starred Vanilla Ice.
Ghost Rider starring Nic Cage - The trailer for this has to be seen to be believed! http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/ghostrider/ Truly cringeworthy. Apparently people pissed themselves laughing when it came on in the states during the X-Men 3 premier.
Soul Calibur - Amazing game on the Dreamcast....lets make a film of it, starring SHARON STONE!
Memoirs of Hadrian - The film is about the life of Roman emperor Hadrian which is written in the form of a letter from the aging emperor to his young successor, recounting the story of Hadrian's early political career in the second century A.D. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The Brazilian Job - Sadly i'm not joking. Marky Mark and his fellow crew of expert thieves head to Rio de Janeiro to pull off another heist.
Films that look super dope:
Idiocracy - Directed by Mike (Beavis & Butthead) Judge and starring Luke Wilson. The Pentagon selects Army soldier and average American Joe Bowers (Wilson) as its guinea pig for a top-secret program. Zapped 1,000 years into the future, Bowers encounters a society in which he's easily the smartest person around
American Gangster - A biopic of Harlem heroin kingpin Frank Lucas. Lucas grew up in rural, segregated North Carolina. In the early 1970s, he became the biggest heroin dealer in Harlem with a smuggling scheme that imported the stuff out of Southeast Asia in the caskets of Vietnam soldiers. The film centers on narcotics lawman Richie Roberts' struggle to bring down Lucas, whose flamboyant style earned him the street name "Superfly." Lucas goes on to help Roberts hunt down dirty cops and overseas connections.
The Departed - Scoresese, Leonardo Di Caprio, Matt Damon & Jack Nicholson. Without either's knowledge, a gangster (Damon) infiltrates the Boston Police Department just as a cop (DiCaprio) works undercover within the Irish mafia. When both warring organizations realize their ranks have been compromised, the two men scramble to unmask the other.
Partridge the Movie - Steve Coogans Alan Partridge. Cannot wait for this!
Night at the Muesem - A bumbling security guard (Ben Stiller) at the Museum of Natural History accidentally lets loose an ancient curse that causes the animals and insects on display to come to life and wreak havoc. This is a 100million dollar movie apparantly. CGI effects by Lucasfilm.
Blades of glory - Will Farrell in spandex. In 2002, two rival Olympic ice skaters (Ferrell and Heder) were stripped of their gold medals and permanently banned from men's single competition. Presently, however, they've found a loophole that will allow them to qualify as a pairs team.
Grind House - Two sixty-minute horror movies, Quentin Tarantino's 'Death Proof' and Robert Rodriguez's 'Planet Terror', are combined as a feature.
Tarantino's film is a slasher film with a car substituting for a knife (images of Christine are unavoidable); Rodriguez is cooking up a zombie movie that, at this point, is looking to be the more violent film.
Each filmmaker is going to shoot phony trailers that will play between the movies; Tarantino's got a blaxploitation clip worked out and he might shoot a sexploitation short called Cowgirls in Sweden. Unsurprisingly, QT is much more chatty about the project than RR, so we don't have much to report on Planet Terror or the shorts he has in store. And, yes, like some of you, we're hoping for a "Fox Force Five" trailer, too.

This is a remake of Infernal Affairs which is quality. I would have reversed the casting though and have Dicaprio play the police mole instead of Damon. The Hannibal prequel sounds fucking dire, apparently it has him on a quest for revenge on the lithuanian cannibals who ate his sister??!. He travels half way around the world and is trained by some samurai lord, WTF??! Did somebody just cut and paste the first half of Batman Begins?.

Im looking forward to September of this year, when Richard Kelly (director of Donnie Darko) releases his new movie - Southland Tales.
Not a lot is known about it, though when it boasts a cast such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean William Scott and The Rock, its bound to be....interesting.
The blurb being:
"Set in the futuristic landscape of LA on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros, an action star stricken with amnesia's life intertwines with Krysta Now, an adult film star developing her own reality television project, and David Clark, a Hermosa Beach police officer who holds the key to a vast conspiracy"
Aparantly, the website for the film is going to be the most expensive ever made in order to advertise and market a film production. The Donnie Darko website was quite abstract, and I've had a peak at this one (though its not fully operational yet), but i am salivataing at the prospect.

The guy also directed Office Space, one of the most underrated/ quotable comedies of the last 20 years. I nearly had a heart attack during yoda's av set when he played a snippet of michael boltons gangsta rap in the car... "I GOT MY PISTOL COCKED, READY TO LEAVE SHOTS NONE STOP UNTIL I SEE YOUR MONKEY ASS DROP"!

Well, this new site will give you an insight into what the whole film is about. aparantly, there are 5/6 parts to it, and the film will cover the final two parts. How you see the previous one's, I;m not too sure. Then again, I'm not the quickest tool in the box, and the website confused me a little. Maybe if I had another look I would be ok.
If you go in it, make sure you click on the box that says "DONT CLICK HERE", or something to that affect.

Defo, though if it works I can imagine it REALLY will work, if you know what I mean.
The Rock (who I imagine will be playing the action hero actor who has amnesia) will have to delve deep into his acting abilities to protray a man plagued by illness. Imagine if he had to cry?
As for American Pie boy, well its about time he actually did something that was a little serious.
Sarah Michelle Gellar as a retiring porn star......does it for me....spesh if she gets her tats out

The reviews it got in Cannes werent too favourable at all, it got quite a panning to be honest. Im still positive though, Darko didnt exactly set the world alight when it first came out and if anything the sort of stuff Richard Kelly does seems to be made towards repeated viewings, you're not supposed to get eveything the first time. The film is supposed to be part 4 of the whole saga, the other 3 are coming out as graphic novels which should be interesting.

Exaclty, thats why I enjoyed Dannie Darko so much. So many questions everytime I watched it. I think the last time I saw it I believed I understood it, next time though, I shall find out whether my ideas were misplaced or not

'The Box' which is supposed to be his next project after this sounds good as well. It's based on a short story where an unhappy and impoverished married couple get a call from a mysterious man who gives them a wooden box with a red button on it....he tells them press the button and you will recieve $200,000 in cash....but when you press the button someone you don't know will die.
The wife thinks "well who cares if someone we don't know dies? It might be someone really bad who deserves it."
"and it might be someone's innocent newborn daughter" the husband argues.
I won't ruin the twist, suffice to say it was turned from a short story into a Twighlight Zone show.
