Interesting to see what Derrick has to say, shame he doesn't remember playing Chibuku at Nation, I know many people who remember his set very well as it was outstanding. I'm sure nobody could forget playing the Theatre though... come on Liverpool, give him a night to remember!

Thats funny. You must have interviewed him before me because he said he was looking forward to coming back to Chibuku and appeared to remember the last time he was here very well! ha ha...

It was refreshing to interview someone like that who is still really enthusiastic about discussing music, rather than just read from something their pr wrote for them.

I just can't wait to play before him. I have recently picked up some house and techno brutes which will tear the Theatre a new arsehole... if it had one to start with!

good interview, just goes to show that to stay that long in something you have to be really, really in love with it. the passion was dripping from his words.

Loved reading that - brilliant stuff.

If I recall correctly - which is unlikely actually - Derrick played the opening night of Bugged Out when it moved to Nation, September '98. What a night.
