my vinyl, as I am now fully conversant with the form of digital downloads.

I was just wondering what the best way to go about it is?

I have seen people selling thier vinly on here and I was wondering whether this really worked, how much they chraged for each vinyl, how much postageand apckaging was and whether or not enyonw has used Ebay to sell theirs, and whether that was any good.

Any info would be much appreciated.

cheers la's

why not keep a hold of them for when vinyl is extinct, then they might be worth a bomb. or is it a matter of them taking up too much room? :)

I have just cleared out my vinyl, after selling my decks some years ago, and didnt get round to getting any more.

Ebay is fine but you have to make frequent trips to the post office, and it takes a while to put your records on. Saying that, you can get people who will pay top money for rare and hard to fnd stuff.

I took loads to hard to find records in birmingham, and they bought a job lot off me. Check their website (www.htfr.com) as they have a wants list and a price they will pay for a tune, then you can work out if its worth a trip down to Brum or not.

Also www.nwdnd.co.uk is a good place to sell drum and bass/jungle, and I shifted a load there.

Hope this helps

Matthew

either sell it in bulk to a shop or sell off individual high price records on ebay etc, vinyl isnt worth anything unless its a rare, classic record, i've got so much shit from over the years that is worth fuck all. dance music dates too quickly unfrotunately. if you ahve any real treats though nikolia ill buy em off you

Yeah, its good idea, but it is taking up a lot of room. Will they really be worth a lot in 20 years or so? I've got loads of my gran's/mum's old vinyl from 20 years ago and I couldnt get rid of it.

Well, it depends upon what you call a treat. I'm sure I've got something that you would probably want, but you aint gonna know unless either a) I post a list off all the records on here (which would be a mamoth task, but one which I will probably need to do anyway) or b) you came around and I showed you my gear.

I will (eventually) make a list of what I have to give away. I will try to get my Mrs involved. She's a bird, I;m sure she will enjoy something regimented and in need os some serious sorting out

what is the majority of your vinyl

Ranges from some really funky (aka gay) house, to a lot of deep house, some banging techno, some electro tunes and then some other random shite that I bought and never played.

I'd guess maybe 300.
Are you interested like?
If so, I will go through them this weekend and count, give you a price and a number of the titles I have.
