Hello there..

The gig is now sold out for Easter Sunday...

We will be leaving around 300 tickets on the door for first come first served.

The limited guestlist shut earlier in the week.

*** We have undersold this gig to the exact legal capacity with room for last minute manoevre. We do obviously expect the courtyard to be oversubscribed and so in order to avoid the courtyard becoming too hot, overcrowded, busy, uncomfortable we will be emplying the same one in one out door management we used on the birthday to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable time. We have employed extra security to handle this scenario. We hope that people will be rational and if the que looks too big then go and enjoy the other rooms. We do expect some people to be disgruntled so we advise that if you are a major Ian Brown fan and that by not seeing him your night might be ruined please make it to the club early and as soon as the courtyard is open get yourself a space on the dance floor.***

We have also organised more coat space at Nation with an extension to the annexe cloakroom and more staff per hatch so that there will be less queing. We think the bars will be fine as its obviously in Nations interest to sell alcohol they will be well staffed.

Security have been breifed fully on the night and will be on top form. Any complaints you have on the night please direct toward the licensee Steve Fitsimmons or a Chibuku member of staff who will point you in the right direction.

We would also like to say the production on this show is 100% with a great lights and sound show being installed and whilst Ian wil only be on stage for a short time this is going to be an amazing night in Chibukus history.

Some handy tips for getting in quickly....

*If you dont have a ticket already we are receiving phone calls from people at the moment who reckon they will be queuing for the first come first serve tickets from around 8.30. Im going to speak to nation to see if we can get the club open a bit earlier so that we can let you in off the street rather than be stood outside. Not sure what the potential issues with this are yet.

*If you have a ticket please jsut get in the main que. As this is a 98% ticket show you will be in pretty quickly,

*If your on a ticket pickup list you need to go straight to the pick up desk which will be opposite the main door of cream, pick up your ticket/stamp and go straight to the main que then,

*If your on a guestlist (and theres not many of you) you need to bypass the que and go straight to the old ZOO bar entrance.

Hope this helps things along nicely.

Rich

You seem to have took onboard some of the feedback from the last event @ Nation.

Fair play

It's just common sense getting in early. In all honesty to let the night be governed by Ian Brown is madness. The beatmonkeys, although more frequent are absolute beasts, I'll never forget my night in the Magnet when I brought my geeky workmates for their first mini Chibuku mid December. The No-fakin vs Beat monkeys was in my top 10 of best sets ever seen.
Even if people don't get into Ian Brown, Evil 9 will cause hell there as will Groove Armada.
Hope you all have a boss night. A Pat Butcher of a line-up.

Coats are for the meek, and although they'll inherit the earth, they'll complain about the climate.
