Hey all, :D
Was just wondering, what with summer looming upon us all, whether anyone could advise me as to the legality of buying Mushrooms over the net?
I am fully aware of the change in the law, however I am trying to find out whether you can get away with buying the spores?
As far as I can tell at the moment (after trawling through lots of crap sites) you are able to buy the spores 'to look at under a microscope' so was wondering whether anyone could elaborate on this?

Cheers lah's :P

it is legal to have as long you have them in UNDRIED state. As soon as they're dry it's illegal.
Try search terms as psylocibine, magic mushroom, headshop+amsterdam in Google and you'll get there eventually!

Ta fo your response,
:D I was under the impression it was illegal to posess them in any state after the change in the law ( cant remember the date) unless you have permission from the secretary of state (I think thats correct)

What i need to know is- am i ok to buy JUST the spores- and then break the law in my own home by growing them?

I have found a UK site that sells prepped syringes that contain various differnt strains of magic mushroom spores, but am i safe to buy from there? or maybe amsterdam?
- That means getting them sent through customs :?
Any thoughts as to how to get around all this business?

All feed back muchly appreciated X

That was true until the law changed back in July :? They're now Class A even in freshly picked form. Importing them is definitely not advised. It is illegal to import, export, produce, supply, or possess magic mushrooms, in any form.

There are hundreds of different types of mushrooms - many were made illegal last year, but Fly Agarics are still very much legal - and apparently very, very potent.

Just make sure you eat them straight from the ground, no picking required - they can't bust you then. Make a game of it - Mushroom Bobbing. Tie your friends hands behind their backs and watch them go! You could even give cash prizes for the ones who eat the most.

i think they're ilegal, but last time i checked the legality of drugs wasn't much of an influence in whether people took them or not! but pretty certain you can get nialed for doing them these days

haha, good point. it doesnt seem to mention anything about eating them and there are some loopholes regarding shrooms growing in the wild. I used to spot the odd liberty cap growing at my parents house over on the wirral some years ago. not enough for a party tho :?

the new law covers "Fungus (of any kind) which contains psilocin or an ester of psilocin." which means Fly Agaric is still ok... but I wouldnt recomend them for recreational use

The Wirral is full of them but you have to get there at the right time or they've gone. Arrowe Park has good ones.

Paul - I'm not a mushroom fan, it's the juice I'm after. you going to the party at Wood Street on Friday?

The voice of reason! I've left well alone myself as didn't really fancy the whole passing out, waking up, throwing up then entering some kind of shamanic trance for f*ck knows how long

Yes we've moved. We're on Sefton Park now. A lovely leafy suburb, much nice listening to the birds than the horrors of Wood Street on a Saturday night. We'll be having many a BBQ in our garden over the Summer so I'll be sure to give you a shout.
