Andy Cunter has it and used to rinse it back in last year of uni.
IT was lovely.

I've got it - it is truely wonderful - a masterclass.

With regards to Daft Punk people seem to forget they haven't released anything worse istening to since 1997. Their live show now would be a real mish mash of truly excellent and truly awful music.

Homework is the defining electronic for me. It's a real shame they completely lost the plot.

Agreed that last album was awful

I agree that Homework is their best album. But they still have done good stuff since. Human After All wasn't as good as i had hoped but i still enjoy it.

I was under the impression that Daft Punk would never be playing again due to Bangalter's tinnitus. they have also both said they were moving away from music into other areas like films and table design (see habitat). So this does surprie me a lot.

there is also a lot of other good people on the lineup in amongst the shite.

i think the £1m for 5 shows might have lured them out of retirement.

IMO too - although I can kind of see the point of 'Discovery' now having seen Interstella 5555 (although it's still pretty gash as an album in its own right).

nah theres still some excellent tracks on discovery (high life, too long, harder/better etc), apart from the strange ones, but thats like cassius sounds of violence too - weird warpy shit with a few belters.

Anyone heard Musique yet? Its a collection off mostly old tracks and I think Musique is the only new one. Some wicked tunes on it tho - Mothership Reconnection, Alive, and Musique all quality.

That '97 Alive CD was shocking good. Not sure if actually seeing them live would be the same. Still up for finding out though

Meadey, 'Musique' has been out for donkeys', it was the B-side to 'Da Funk', and you can hear an excerpt of it on 'Wdpk 83.7 FM' on 'Homework'.

I have just bought 'Alive 1997' for a Lady off the Virgin Megastores site. 8)

homweork was the pinnacle yeah, but there were some great tracks on discovery too. face to face is the tits imo, and robot rock was a good little number as well. technologic though, oh dear.

at the end of the day they might be a dissapointment live, but part of the mystique about it is that you might get a good show, you might get a bad one. and the gash juxtaposed with the sublime isnt that bad when there's more of the greatness, i remeber having to endure some of mcartneys ballads at galstonbury 2004, along with him asking if "glastonburger was diggin it?" for the first half hour. but i got the pyrotechnic amazment of live and let die, the two minutes or orgamsic melody from eleanor rigby and me and 60000 others singing nah nah, nah nah nah nah to hey judein return.

its like whoever turns up to the concert when bob dylan remembers how to please a crowd will have an amazing time.

and where are the other four shows from the million dollars gonna be?

Technologic is better than Robot Rock which is shite IMO.

The Vitalic remix of technologic is better than the original

No:

The compilation looks worth a squizz for part-time dance music fans. But any serious music lover should own 'Homework' already. A lot of the mixes are radio edits so it's really for home listening only. Their mix of Ian Pooley's 'Chord Memory' is definitely worth checking out though, and I confess I've never heard the Gabrielle remix. They should definitely have put on their mixes of I:Cube and the Chemical Brothers if they'd wanted to include their vital remixes though.

agreed, he gets rid of the whining high pitched element of the vocal and makes its slightly palatable. the man vitalic is an absolute beast, the b sides on the no fun ep are two of the best techno records of the last few years, juliet india and the disco mix of the repair machine. they're absolutely heavenly records, we need to see the bloke in liverpool!
