View Full Version : Faces of the Board....
Pedro

It just occurred to me this evening that given I have been going to 'buku for well over 4 years, I actually hardly know anyone from the board who seem to be regulars in the club. I used to hammer the Tribal board back in the day and knew a hell of a lot of heads out there, making it nice to just turn up to the club on me tod and know there'd be a few mates there.
Are there any people that others particulary like the 'cut of the jib' of that they haven't met yet?
For instance, I haven't met the likes of Mooney, Niky T, The Teapot Gnome, Salacious Crumb, Coakley, Cheesemanor and Sweaty Neil (sorry mate... couldn't resist ).... All of whom seem entertaining/decent people in their own way...

This is a very good point you make Pedro..... I would love to meet more peeps I know from this board (only know a smattering).
Maybe we could go round with "special" badges.
Maybe not....

Howdy, my name's Mooney. When not out clubbing, I like to rally againt hamstering badgers.
It is my life long ambition to one day circumnavigate my own fat heed, stopping off at such widely renowned places as Left Ear Street, Nose Central and the main tourist attraction that is the Bald Plain.
Obviously, this doesnt help you know what I look like, but at least it helps you build your own mental image.
Of those names mentioned above, I;ve met Niky T and (sadly) Cheesemanor. I;ve spent many a day/night in his bedroom playing with his.......................computer. He's a nice guy, though a tad warped.
I met MustBe Bobby and KenToky at Barn Party in Setp and we are now chums. I;m sure the same would be said if we met Pedro. Maybe a little too Chummy...eh, eh. know what I mean. *nudge nudge. wink wink*

Everyone that I have met of this site has been fuckin' sound, but I hate being introduced to people in the club 'cos (and I don't know whether it's cool or not to talk about drugs here but....), I am nearly always off my face.
In fact last weekend was the first time i'd been to the Masque in over 3 years where I was straight and wasn't medicated off my skull.
I always worry and go on a paranoia trip after being introduced to someone, 'cos I think to myself 'jesus i'm on another fucking planet here, what must they think of me'. Sometimes I can't concentrate on what the lad/lass is saying and i'm in my own little world. Then i'll click on to the fact that i'm being rude and feel bad.
Most people seemt to get onto it imediately and have a laugh about it and they realise straight away that i'm just enjoying myself a bit oo much for convo. But other people, especially when you're first intorduced don't know that yet do they?
Not a very cool response to the topic I know, but I am one of those people who likes to be liked if you know what I mean....and it is important to me what people think of me.
Nik's easily one of the safest people i've ever met going out for example, but sometimes I don't know how to take him, 'cos (apart from drink) he's always on the ball, and often when I bump into him in the club I am absolutly trashed. Sometimes he must think "what a fuckin' whopper!".

I think you need to give yourself a little more credit mate.
We are all in the same boat, out there in the plain that is the club land, and I;m pretty sure everyone is in the smae position at some point in time (whether it be constantly like that I dont know).
Personally, I can talk too much shite and people look at me as if to say "waht the fook are you going on about" (wihch is exaclty what they are saying) but fook it, that be the substances you have digested. If anyone ever seems to be not following what I'm going on about I just tend let em know I dont really know what I;m going on about. In the old days I used to have to get prompts from those I was tlaking to as I kept forgetting the subject after about 2 mins.
Dont worry, be happy.

Coakley- you have hit the nail squarely on the head,i understand exactly where your coming from, and often wake to the realisation that iv made a fool out of myself yet again with people iv been chatting to ect..The one thing that always happens is that scenario where your head goes absolutely frigging blank, and so you end up having the same conversation with someone, then saying adeiu and coming away feeling most dissatisfied with yourself-and the person youv just spoken with probably thinking your a complete nutter with no personality/mind of their own.It happens all the time, even in the middle of the day -but its probably to do with smoking too much weed as well, which is why iv quit -except on weekends.
Its just one of those things though, your never gonna have a proper conversation in a club anyway so dont worry about it too much- although i still feel bad Nt.''

I'm in a situation at the moment where after a long lay off I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend and believe me walking round that club in a constant state of euphoria and being a spaz in that way isn't doing wonders for my love life.
Unfortunately I don't really know any women. Most of the people I know around with are lads and the few girls I do know are mates. It's a long established network of mates. Therefore if/when I do meet new people it is usually when I go out.
I have been out with female friends who have pointed out to me "Did you see that girl dancing with you".
Did I fuck! 'cos i'm flying off somewhere on my little trip, eyes tightly closed grinning like a loon, jacking to fuck.
The next day i'll wake up and remember some fitness dancing in my zone and me being to monged to do anything about it and i'll think, DOH!
I'm not arsed about not pulling, hardly the end of the world.
it's just recently i've been thinking it would be really nice to just have an interesting, no pressure, convo with a member of the opposite sex.
Anyway enough of this rant, i'm starting to sound like fuckin' Moff man. You get the idea.

Always up for a blowy, I'm at the Magnet tonight and Saturday. I reckon you just kind of recognise people from pictures that their mates stick up on the forum. That's how I met Lenoir and Mooney which led down the path of filth that was Andyhunter and catbeard. Also Malawi opened up a vein of forum members.
I know shitloads of forum doggers as well who have names and don't post.eg clarke and jessdacat.
I reckon we all have a mass meeting at Mixmaster C 24th March. Although Mooney never turns up to that.
Anyone in the Magnet tonight I'll be wearing bright blue trainers and sporting a cockbeard.
