Whats the fuss all about?

Here's the lowdown on what this essential mix is all about...
The MC led intro (recorded at one of their infamous 6 deck sets in Russia in front of 18,000 ravers!) you know this is something special. The mix is killer from start to finish featuring just the right mix of slamming breaks mixed up with the biggest party tunes (for the laydeez) and Terry's mad scratch skillz giving this mix the edge that many programmed and dare I say ‘Pro Tools' mixed albums seem to lack. Put simply, it rocks.

Functional have invited Atomic Hooligan and their partner in crime Jay Cunning to mix up the fifth in their quality 'Beatz & Bobz Series, wise choice. As proved on many a dance floor and this very CD, the Hooligans and Cunning are a formidable force on the ones and twos. Rolling out a strong platter of energetic funk from the off, the Cunning Hooligans dish out disc after disc throwing in plenty hideously hot unreleased shiznit and some rather upfront flavas from their new label Menu Music.

Knowledge - 4/5
It's straight up acid mayhem from the top as Jay Cunning lets loose with 'Badman', his stomping collaboration with One Sinner, moving on with a couple of electro-funk nuggets from Jay Stewart, as the up front selection continues through Atomic Hooligan's raw bass remix of J Cat's 'Good Times' and SOTO's unreleased 'Ghetto Blaster'. Complimented by Terry Hooligan's scratching, it's a lively ride through the many flavas of funked up club breaks.
