Does anyone know where i can get equipment (nominally a mixer) reapired?

One line input is bamjaxxed so i only get one speaker working for one deck, and it's really starting to p*** me right off.

I had the same problem and couldnt find anywere to get it fixed so I bought a new one.
I gave the old one to my girlfriend, who got her brother to take a look at it. Within 5 minutes the little techy fuck had fixed it using only a soldering iron.

My adivce would be if you know any one whos good with electrics and stuff get them to take the cover off it and have a look.

Thanks Tony,

Most compaines don't want to know unless you pay postage up front, plus parts & labour, which would probably cover a whole new mixer alone.

The one on the Dock Rd opposite the BMW garage is called FET Electronics, but they only deal with Technics. I ended up going to Professional Sound and Lighting on Rose Lane.

Pro sound and lighting on rose lane will do it and are reasonably priced but there customer service is awful.

I am happy to have a look for you if you can drop it to me

It's likely the phono connector which is easy to fix / replace

What mixer is it?

The three red inputs on channel 1 aren't picking up, so only 1 speaker works for that channel. I dropped it into the shop yesterday and am waiting for them to tell me if they can fix it, and how much. If it's borked beyond their knowledge i shall be seeking your expertise.

Oh and it's a Stanton SMX 301

When that happens its usually because the phone socket is mounted directly on to the circuit board. Disconnecting and reconnecting stress the board, it cracks and the connection goes. It's dead easy to solder a small lead from the connector to the board if that's the problem.

I'm sure they'll be able to fix it but it took a week of "We'll let you know today" everyday for them to come back to me. I nearly didn't have my decks back in time for the lake of stars festival.

Also, I asked for a "quote only" and they went ahead and fixed it without checking first.

Very poor IMO

However it was reasonably cheap
