1. OMAR S - FXHE Compilation Vol. 1 (FXHE US)
Alex Smith finally puts out another release really worth shouting about. He's been given a lot of plaudits that haven't always added up for me. Mainly just because he shared a taxi with Theo Parrish once or summat. This though, is a beautiful deep collection of the finest Detroit house. Computer game fans look out for the Strider sample in my favourite track called, guess what, "Strider World".

2. AARDVARCK - Cult Copy Pt 3 (Rushhour Limited)
After the harder than a fat slagpt 2 with Carl Craig, the Cult Copy Series goes back underground with the limited release of part three. Side A is a deep cut that will put many in a trance, while side B continues where part 2 left off... Rocking B-boy techno business. Rushhour rules ja

3. BEN NEVILLE - Joeski L.P. (Telegraph France)
After a remix of Robert Hood's Monobox moniker some 18 months ago, Ben Neville returns with a commendable first LP on Telegraph. slightly laboured and dirgy beats with analog magic that Villalobos manages to hold for about 1/2 his tracks.

4. KIRK DEGIORGIO aka AS ONE - Elegant Systems L.P. (Versatile)
Kirk DeGiorgio is back with a new 8 track album on the french Versatile; a blend of old school techno & dreamy electronica. He has his finger in many pies. Apparently it's a tribute to T-funkshun after his failed flooded gig kept him away from the Magnet's elegant system.

5. KERRI CHANDLER - Bar a Thym (Nitegrooves US)
Mark has already said it about this track. Simple effective programming with cowbells and edgy synths. This track is evidence that Kerri Chandler is aware of the work of Fabrice Lig I reckon.

6. WILTON FELDER - Inherit The Wind
Out with the new and in with the old. An ebay find of mine recently. Jazz Funk gem from the Crusaders sax player. If Theo don't play it I will.

7. CARRIE LUCAS - Dance With You (Sound of Los Angeles)
Another ebay win. Quite simply the classic high tempo disco record that Armand Van Helden sampled for You Don't Even Know Me. If it ain't broken why sample it?

8. ROGER 23 - In Strict Tempo (Playhouse Germany)
In the top half of Playhouse back catalogue, that tells enough.

9. DON WILLIAMS - Initial EP (Styrax Germany)
Just an older random track I picked out. One of the sides is ace. I like the unknown shit to be found. A one hit wonder like Forshaw!!

10. CONVEXTION - E.R.P. (down low music)
Convextion returns! Working under his E.R.P. alias (unseen since releases in the mid-90’s on the Sean Deason's Detroit label Matrix), he presents a six-pack of deeply chilled and beautiful electro-techno. The now patented Convextion style strings resonate, lovely and delicate twinkling melodies, FM basslines and precise 808 beats. For lovers of deep delicate and melodic Detroit (via Dallas!) techno and electro.
