Where would I buy these records Mark????

Liverpool shops are poo, all scouse house pap, except probe sometimes and the techno section in 3beat which is steadily improving but still all fairly obvious stuff... :(

Lazy bugger that I am I can never be rsed ordering stuff, maybe I should do that...

Juno and Piccadilly Records online all the way mate. I have given up on most Liverpool shops now. Paying nine quid or more for a 12 inch is a complete rip off and no one locally stocks that much stuff that I'm into these days. I guess i've got quite weird taste though!

The Kerri is a monster and your right about the Abacus. The new Metro Area is better than it first sounds. Not really feeling much thats out.

i've liked most of the metro areas so far but i passed on that one. thought it sounded a bit dull. think i'll give it a second listen though if you reckon it's a good 'n.

Worth a listen its pretty cheeky,
Mark and anyone else- disco wise theres a reissue Patrick Adams and Peter Brown LP
Cloud One - Athmosphere Strut which is well worth checking and also a 12 (Re Edit - I've never heard of the original) Will Powers - Adventures in Success with an ace dub as well as David Astri - Dancing Digits which I've heard loads before but has just come out properly on Harvey's label Soft Rocks. Balearic Guitar central!

That Kerri Chandler track is amazing!!!! Harri played on friday last week (i requested him to!) and it sounded soooooo phat in the Magnet's main room!! Me and Neil almost lost our mind!!!

D'you think £12.99 is a decent price for the Abacus - Relics ep ? Ive got my eye on a copy, i love all that early 90s prescription type isht, but dunno whether to wait for it to appear on ebay... probably fetch that anyway ?

Peace!

Any efforts to get a wider audience listening to more underground sounds is commendable... even if you have to do it by stealth

What you think of the Sound Stream track Forshy? Not as good as the first one, but then what is?

I'll check the Cynosure one out as Mike Shannon's tracks on there are always interesting.

By the way have you checked the new Blakai record with the Domu remixes?

Just out and up your alley.

The Blakai landed up my alley a couple of weeks ago. The original version is broken and pretty bonkers. Plus you can't really go wrong with the Domu remixes.
I agree Scott - the first Soundstream would take some beating. The new one's pretty good although I don't think the edits are quite as inventive this time around. A fun record though.
Soulizm - just buy that Abacus record on sight. You've probably heard it before - it's on that amazing Harri mix CD "Subculture."

Picked this up the other day. Loving the sleeve notes and interviews too - this is what compilations are supposed to be like. 8)

Got my hands on 'Bar A Thym' too. Those are some heavy sounds for Kerri! Great tune though, very twisted!
