What was that cheesy song he played and why did he do it? I've never seen a group of people look so bemused. :?:

He's always been a crap DJ,even when he 'did' the mix on the Cream CD he got The Pyschonauts to mix it for him.
He was fucking abysmal i thought.............the remix of Gwen Stefani - Tic Toc made me ashamed to like breaks.
When he played last year with Mr File it was so much better  .

Lavelle was terrible, the worst I'd seen at Chibuku. Dom Chung would have been better off finishing the night. Lavelle's mixing was rubbish for a headlining dj and there were a few really dodgy tunes in there. I was so dissapointed I had to comfort myself with a bag of mushrooms when I got home

Gwen Stefani ??? :? Ouch...
Sounds like the Felix da Housecat mix if it had a horrible 'tick tock' vocal running throughout the tune...? The Van Helden remix isn't all that bad IMO.

no no no. you're all wrong
James Lavelle is indeed a world class DJ and producer - his Barcelona global underground is truly legendary - still sounds fresh even though its from 2002.
His Unkle albums awesome too and sashas done great things on remixing In A State
or are you?
James Lavelle is an A&R man who licenced the work of some great producers, admits to being a shite dj, and yet doesn't do too badly from gigs..
