1. Triple P - Platinum Pied Pipers (Ubiquity LP)
It had to be after their killer performance at the Magnet... these guys will take over the world. Hear an exclusive interview coming up very soon in the next 2types.

2. Basement Soul - Kid Sublime (Kindred Spirits LP)
Watch out for this... big music from the Dutch former Rednose Distrikt producer - from hip hop to more uptempo stuff, it's a boundary crosser!

3. Why You? - Right Kinda Wrong (Rainy City Music)
High quality choonage from (whisper it) down the M62 - soulful and deeep.

4. International Journey - Younglee & Jake Sax (CDR)
London's duo bring it once again with a top, top summer banger.

5. Afrospace - Blakai feat Bember Segue (Schtum)
Still can't get this out of my head

6. Spread That - Silhouette Brown (Ether)
Yet more quality music involving Kaidi Tatham and Dego. When do they find time to eat/sleep/breathe?

7. Be Your Own (Amp Fiddler Remix) - One Self (Ninja Tune)
Quirky hip hop given the P-Funk twist by the almighty Amp.

8. Devil's Gotta Run - Ernesto (Exceptional)
Strangely inspiring, odd and difficult to pigeonhole 7". Lovely!

9. Barbarella (Sad Instrumental Remix) - Filewile (Mouthwatering)
Proof that there's more to Switzerland than cheese and chocolate. The shuffly original is taken down a hip hop route by local producer Sad.

10. Reach the Sky - Eddy Meets Yannah (Compost)
Cheery and uplifting with latino groove that's perfect for the summery weather we're having.. er....

Coming soon - new 2types featuring guests Waajeed and Saadiq - aka Platinum Pied Pipers...

Album is average, quite dissapointed really see'in as though they were really good live.

I don;t think they can top the cover of Bobby Caldwell - Open your eyes.

Lovin Afrospace, with you on that one, and the Silhouette Brown is quality throughout...that Bruno E mix isn't up to much though.

Anyone checked The Troubleman LP - The First phase?, very nice.

Album is average

Got to disagree with you there!!! The crispest, fattest beats I've heard for quite a while...

Hey'all,

When I first heard the PPP album I thought, it's alright, but nothing special. I have since listened to it four or five times and it's now I think it's pretty damn special.... somethings need to be plated then they just grow on ya. So any doubters, give it another listen.

Something that's rockin it for me at te moment.... Jamie Lidell - Multiply on Warp.
A wicked soulful album, that I also can't get enough of. PPP and Jamie on "heavy rotation" in my new gaff.

peace and icecream .
