The Carnival is back in town. In the new Leaf 200 person capacity venue.... Rhumba is back with a filthy smile.

Welcome back to the carnival of the night!

Held in Liverpool's newest venue, Rhumba is back with the usual blend of Techno, Tech House and side shows to feed the senses with extrasensory conceptions.

It's been a busy Summer for Rhumba residents Cler Lever (http://outlar.com/artist.php?id=835) and Liam Bulloch. (http://outlar.com/artist.php?id=210) Between festivals and ventures to faraway clubs, the pair of them have been building up a warchest of music to release havoc to the masses.

After the Summer break, we've been itching to get into our new home to carry on where we left off. After having the pleasure of having names such as Geddes, James Ruskin, Rhythm Code, Ben Klock and Alex Tsiridis join us, we are ecstatic to be able to welcome Phil Kieran (http://outlar.com/artist.php?id=91) back to Liverpool.

After three years of almost total dedication to his critically acclaimed Alloy Mental project , its time for the Belfast DJ and producer to refocus his talents to making more global techno gems. Combining the raw, compelling beats of Basic Channel with the effortless grooves of Funk D'Void, Phil Kieran's music contrasts darkness and light, is both uplifting and unsettling.

A recent quote from a review of Phil's back catalogue tells it how it is and how it always has been - "I pretty much know now that if a tune knocks my nuts into my throat and makes me dump in my socks, it's going to be a Phil Kieran production."

Kieran is primarily a club DJ, making his name as the resident at Shine in Belfast and later playing at venues across the world. He plays a wide variety of music including techno, breaks and house. While he is still to release a full album of his own work, Kieran has released numerous 12"s that have received recurring airtime on Radio 1 and featured on mix CDs by DJs such as Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Slam and on various Global Underground mixes such as Deep Dish's GU021.

Alongside Resident DJ's Cler Lever and Liam Bulloch, we also bring you Dirty Analogue's James Durkan (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=148215902)

James and Dirty Analogue have gone from strength to strength over recent months. Playing alongside Pig & Dan, Matt Tolfrey and The Rejekts they are becoming widely recognised in the North-West as an up and coming club with some of the strongest residents around.

If that wasn't enough, we've also recruited the services of K'Fuffles Daz Kewley (http://outlar.com/artist.php?id=1023). Daz has been a massive part of the success story that K'Fuffle has become this year.

For your chance to see one of Liverpool's newest venues filled with Techno Goodness, come down and witness the Rhumba.
