BROWNES OPENING WEEKEND
Detonate and Spectrum are pleased to announce the re-opening of BROWNES. Now into its 20th year of trading, the new management look forward to bringing you a new and fresh chapter in the venue’s history.
This bank holiday weekend we finally re-open the doors to BROWNES in Nottingham. We've put together a programme of events aimed at showcasing everything that we hope to bring you under the new management. Great food, great music, great drinks and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for you and your friends to enjoy!

Friday August 22nd
- Daytime - Opens at midday
Be the first to come and experience the totally new food menu brought to you by our award winning chef (formerly from the Golden Fleece).
- Early Evening - 5pm - 8pm
2-4-1 on our superb cocktail list will make you want to leave the office early and start your weekend fun at Brownes.
- Entertainment - 9pm - 1am
Whilst our Friday resident, DJ Santero gets prepared to start his new weekly slot next week, we ask down our new Thursday resident Chow to christen the improved sound system with his unique mish-mash style of hip hop through to electro and breaks.
Saturday August 23rd
- Daytime - Opens at midday
You now have the perfect excuse to avoid the bore of shopping, grab yourself a seat in our outdoor area at the front, order some lunch and watch the world pass you by.
- Entertainment -9pm - 3am (extended license)
To mark Spectrum favourite Freeman's new weekly residency we have an extended license so you can dance to night away to his mix of party beats and breaks.
Sunday August 24th
- Daytime - Opens at midday
It's Sunday lunch time Brownes style, with the first appearance of our Sunday roast. Book a table, or turn up, grab a newspaper and relax in the comfortable surrounds of your new local. Make sure you use your bank holiday as it was intended!
- Entertainment - 10pm - 4am (extended license)

We pay homage to one of the UK's greatest ever clubs. The multi-venue event between Brownes and Market Bar features some of the legendary club's residents and regular guests. At Brownes we welcome the one and only Bent to spin on the wheels of steel,whilst Dave Congreve and Daniel Donnachie play classic Bomb sets in the Market Bar.
